BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The National Weather Service in Boise reports that as of Tuesday afternoon Boise currently has accumulated 19.1 inches of snow so far this month.
That total so far places this month as the 13th snowiest month in Boise on record since 1892, when records first began being kept. With more snow on the way Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and another storm headed this way Sunday, there is the potential for this month to climb the list even higher.
The snowiest month on record is January 1929, when 27 inches of snow was recorded. With the month only being half over, and Boise already accumulating more than 19 inches, this month could be one for the record books.
