Charles Leclerc claims Ferrari needs to keep feet on the ground after dominating Fridays ru

Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari F1 driver, was the standout performer during yesterday’s Emilia-Romagna GP FP1 and FP2 session! The Monegasque was on it from the get-go, but despite topping both sessions, he has urged his team not to get too ahead of itself.

The Max Verstappen-led Red Bull outfit surprisingly had an off day around the Enzo E Dino Ferrari circuit. Both Verstappen and Sergio Perez were seen struggling immensely in the RB20 and were having a hard time keeping their challenger on track.

Charles Leclerc, on the other hand, managed to top both the practice sessions and his best time in FP2 was an impressive 1.15.906.

The upgrades on the car are working as expected, which is also a good step and it has been a smooth day. We need to keep our feet on the ground as there will be big changes with the track conditions and track position here is absolutely everything.
Charles Leclerc said in post FP2 interviews

Looking at the reaction of the 26-year-old, it is quite clear that he is immensely pleased with the progress the Maranello-based team has made with the SF-24. However, he has also taken time to let everyone know that the track conditions are bound to change going ahead into the ongoing race weekend, and thus, he and his team need to stay sharp to tackle every challenge!

Charles Leclerc deems Imola qualifying an extremely crucial session

While Leclerc is focused on doing the best job he can during the upcoming Imola sessions, he feels that today’s qualifying will be extremely crucial for his team. Most of the quali sessions this year have been dominated by Red Bull.

But seeing their woes during Friday’s running, there is a chance for Ferrari to get the jump on them.

Qualifying will be super important and it will be important for us to do the job in qualifying, there is still a lot of work to do and we will do it all to have a good qualifying.

The ongoing campaign is six rounds down and so far, Red Bull has come out as the early pacesetters! While Ferrari has managed a Grand Prix win, Charles Leclerc is yet to open his account! Carlos Sainz managed a victory in Melbourne during the Australian GP! Keeping this in view, Leclerc will try his best to secure pole for Sunday’s race and score a victory of his own in the 63-lap Emilia-Romagna GP.
