Did Caleb from 1000 Lb Sisters Really Die?

Yes, Caleb Willingham, who was married to Tammy Slaton, one of the stars of 1000-Lb Sisters, is no more. Caleb was 40 when he passed away. Tammy shared an Instagram post with pictures of their relationship and confirmed his passing. However, she didn’t disclose the reason behind his death. Tammy shared a statement about Willingham’s death with People magazine, where she stated:

“I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend, and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

Tammy and Caleb met in 2022 when both were working on losing weight. They met in a weight loss center in Ohio and got engaged pretty quickly after meeting. As expected, he was grilled by her family when they finally got to meet him. But those words didn’t phase him. He said:

“When you love somebody, you don’t let anything get in the way,”

But that wasn’t enough. Their sudden engagement and marriage had sirens ringing in the minds of Tammy’s family, especially her sister Amy because she suspected that it was because Tammy was pregnant. But that turned out to be not true. Tammy said during a confessional:

“A year ago I didn’t even think I was gonna be alive and now I’m getting married.”

On their wedding day, Tammy confessed that she wasn’t ready to get married and felt like she would pass out. However, she didn’t let her nerves get her and said her I Dos to Caleb with happiness at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Ohio, the same place they met. She said in an interview with People magazine:

“When I saw Caleb at the altar, I was just picturing doves and butterflies all around like God had opened up the clouds and let the sunlight in.”

Both of them together were referred to as Double K or Killa K. The couple were married in November of last year. But reports of marital troubles began in May 2023 when they reportedly separated. At the time of Willingham’s death, they were estranged as well, and Tammy was apparently thinking of filing for divorce.

Despite marital troubles, it looks like Tammy is heartbroken at the death of Caleb, who she called her best friend.

What do you think about why the couple separated just a few months after their marriage? Were they a good match to begin with?
