Marcos is a multimedia journalist and weekend weather anchor at CBS2.
An Idaho native, Marcos is excited to start out his broadcasting career here in Boise and share the stories of everyday people in the Treasure Valley. His love for broadcast news started as a child when he often stayed up late just to watch the 10 o’clock news with his parents.
Marcos graduated from Boise State University, majoring in Media Arts with a journalism emphasis and a minor in political science. While in college, he was heavily involved in student media, working for Boise State’s “The Arbiter,” the student ran newspaper as a staff writer and news editor as well as writing, reporting, and anchoring for Boise State television the student ran news channel.
He enjoys covering state and local politics as well as shining light on the issues that matter. Marcos is passionate about reporting and making sure people receive timely, credible, and relevant news and information. When he’s not catching up on the latest news, he is usually biking the greenbelt, trying out a new restaurant or coffee shop in Boise, traveling or cooking and spending time with his friends and family.
