NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — A martial arts School in Nampa hosted its annual regional Tae Kwon Do Tournament in Meridian. Champions Martial Arts in Nampa drew in participants of all ages, as young as six and as old as 83.
Senior Master Travis Dellow is a seventh-degree black belt, and he looks forward to having everyone come together. "It's an investment that lasts a lifetime," Dellow said. "Students are going to learn life skills and physical Tae Kwon Do techniques, but you're gonna be around a culture and a community that you're gonna get to grow up with and develop just great friendships."
One parent, Heather Lee, shared the impact of the activity on her child. "What we love about Tae Kwon Do is that it really supports discipline, doing your best." Lee said, "Over time, watching the small things really build up to character is something that I really appreciate about this sport."
