The rivalry between Jake Paul and Dana White has continued for years. It all started with Paul calling out the UFC CEO for his behavior towards his fighters. Over time, both got into some nasty online altercations. Recently, the YouTuber-turned-boxer took another swipe at White.
Due to his collaboration with PFL, Jake Paul was recently at the first conference between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira. During the press conference, Ngannou accused White of manipulating the narrative around him vs. Jon Jones. When asked about the same, Paul took this opportunity to mock White and revealed that the head honcho was scared.
Well, I think Dana is scared to make it happen. I think he doesn't want to lose his horse in Jon Jones. I love Jon Jones but that's too much of a risk for Dana to take… So I think Dana is scared. I don't think he would want to do that but the MMA fans want that. Doesn't everyone want that? But Dana never does anything for the fans.Jake Paul via PFL presser
Since Ngannou’s exit from UFC, White has repeatedly bashed the Cameroonian fighter and elevated Jones in his interviews. According to Paul, Ngannou is one of the ‘baddest men in the world.’ As such, the fans deserved to see the ‘Predator’ fight Jones. Speaking of disappointing fans, it has always been the selling point of Paul’s argument against White.
Paul has accused White of not paying his fighters adequately and not taking care of them enough. He has even advised top UFC fighters to turn their back on White and leave the company. As of now, Paul has mostly been successful in getting the best out of White.
After the initial few months, Dana White just directly argued with Jake Paul. Instead, the UFC CEO now criticizes his actions in other interviews. Paul recently called out UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira for a boxing bout. In reaction, White made fun of the whole situation in a condescending way.
Similarly, White is one of the biggest detractors of Paul fighting an old Mike Tyson in the upcoming boxing bout. When asked about White’s frequent criticism, Paul mentioned that his success bothers White. According to Paul, he always gets into White’s head via his comments.
Dana will always discredit me, but we have Sean O'Malley as part of the W team now. So, Dana, I know that's pissing you off, buddy. I'm everywhere. I'm in your head, I'm in your bathroom, I'm up your bu**. You can't get rid of me, baby!Jake Paul via The MMA Hour Show
However, it’s also refreshing to learn that ‘The Problem Child’ has a massive respect for White due to his contribution to society. Both share similar political ideologies and support Donald Trump in the upcoming election. Paul states if Dana White paid his fighters properly, he might bury the hatchet for a future collaboration.
